Call for Nominations
Two Additional Seats

We have two additional vacant seats on the 11-member AAJA-NY Board, so here's your chance to get involved.

All FULL/GOLD FULL members of the chapter are eligible for these two positions. We did not have any candidates for the slot as of the November deadline, so our incoming board will appoint two people to these slots.

If interested, please submit a two- to five-paragraph statement of interest to chapter president P.J. Joshi via e-mail at pjoshi@newsday.com by Jan. 10. The two board members will be appointed at next board meeting on Jan. 15.

Our chapter also has additional committees that need new leaders. You do not need to be a full member to head up a committee. Our current committees include: high school outreach, media watch, speakers and programming. Every year, the board will change or add committees as needed. If you are interested in joining a committee, please come to our Jan. 15 meeting (details below). What better way to keep your new year's resolution to take charge of your career than by honing your leadership skills through AAJA?
