The New York chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association offers one $3,000 scholarship to a high school senior who will be studying journalism in college or who will be pursuing journalism internships in college. We are making this program available so that financial considerations do not discourage students from pursuing journalism. Students receiving scholarships are expected to give back to the organization through future volunteer activity. Deadline to apply is May 16, 2005.
