New York City may be the media and financial capital of the United States, but did you know it's also the food capital? With thousands of restaurants opening every year, the Big Apple is a gourmand's--even a glutton's--dream. However, reporting on the industry can resemble extreme sports as reputations can be made or broken based on one dining experience. Come June 6th to learn how to navigate the waters of food journalism and cook up a story worth reading.

Bios:
Paul Schultz is the executive food editor at the New York Daily News, responsible for three weekly food sections (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday). The News' food pages encompass home cooking, trends and the whole gamut of New York dining, from cheap eats to expensive restaurants. Prior to editing the food pages, Schultz worked as section editor for the lifestyle and entertainment departments, and as a copy editor. He's been at the News since 1989 and has also worked as an editor at the South Bend Tribune, Newsday and Newsweek.
