The AAJA-NY Chapter every year has some stipends to help members attend the National Convention. This year, the convention will be held at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis from Aug. 17-20, 2005.

All stipend recipients are expected to volunteer during and AFTER the convention. This includes signing up for 6 hours of on-site volunteer time during the Minneapolis convention.

Stipend awards will range from $250 to $700 depending on the stipend committee's decision. Special consideration will be given to students and active chapter volunteers.

IMPORTANT POLICY: if you have already received two previous convention-related stipends from the chapter in the last five years, you are not eligible to apply. All stipend recipients must be members of the New York chapter.

Deadline: applications must be RECEIVED BY June 20, 2005.
