Azon Juan
Azon Juan, a segment producer for MTV News & Documentaries, produces documentaries on cultural topics and trends that are especially relevant to young people. She has been with MTV for 4 years. Azon was also an associate producer on the 2003 documentary feature film "Tupac: Resurrection", which received national critical acclaim. The film was an official selection of the Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for the International Documentary Association's Distinguished Documentary Achievement Awards in 2003. After graduating from the University of Chicago in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in anthropology, Azon returned to her hometown of Los Angeles and worked at Destination Films & Distribution Company. Azon takes advantage of the seasons, enjoying outdoor hobbies like snowboarding. She now enjoys surfing as well, which she credits to last year's AAJA Convention in San Diego. |
