Christine Y. Chen

Christine Y. Chen Christine Y. Chen is a writer-reporter at FORTUNE magazine, where she focuses on the technology, telecommunications and media industries. She has also contributed to FORTUNE's sister publications, Business 2.0 and FSB: Fortune Small Business.

Before joining FORTUNE in August 1999, Chen worked at Newsweek International as an editorial liaison for the magazine's foreign language editions. She also researched and reported for the print and online versions of Newsweek on a wide range of topics.

Chen was selected by the Asian American Journalists Association as its 2002 Fellow. As an AAJA Fellow, she attended an Asia Foundation public policy study tour of Thailand and Cambodia, along with leaders from NGOs, academia, think tanks and government.

In 1996, Chen won a Fulbright fellowship to study in England, where she earned an M.A. in international relations from the London School of Economics.

Chen has a B.A. in political science from the University of California at Berkeley, and has studied abroad in Germany and Finland.
