Rebecca Karamehmedovic

Rebecca Karamehmedovic has over 6 years of experience as a photography editor, researcher and producer in the magazine industry. She has produced art exhibitions and silent auctions for a number of charitable organizations, designed packaging for a small distribution software product and continues to work on personal projects using textile and photography. Rebecca has also had several articles published on the subject of non-resident Indians (NRIs), families and other social issues in magazines such as Women’s Era and Jaalakam.

Rebecca sits on the board of the New York chapter of AAJA. She is also an active member of national organizations such as the South Asian Journalists Association (SAJA) and the American Society of Picture Professionals (ASPP).

Rebecca is the child of a Maharashtrian (Indian) father and a Canadian mother. Her husband, Alan, was born in Sarajevo, and thus Rebecca notes that their daughters, Nalini and Nahia, personify the United Nations.
