Kathy J. Park

Kathy Park has been manager of public relations for The New York Times Company since July 2000. As a spokesperson for the Company, she creates messages worthy of positive press attention, identifies news opportunities for all of the CompanyÕs properties and plays a key role in the development and implementation of public relations plans. She also serves as the main spokesperson for The New York Times CompanyÕs digital operations, which include NYTimes.com, Boston.com and About.com.

Prior to The New York Times Company, she served as a senior account executive at LaForce & Stevens Public Relations in New York from 1999 to 2000. In that role, she developed communications and branding programs for several Internet companies.

Previously, Ms. Park worked at CNNÕs New York bureau from 1996 to 1999. As a publicist, she promoted CNNÕs and CNNfnÕs New York-based news talent as well as general news programming, breaking news and special programs.

Ms. Park graduated from Emory University with a B.A. in political science. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, the Asian American Journalists Association and Foreign Press Association. She successfully completed the New York City Marathon in 2002.
