Steve Chung
At the University of Michigan, Steve worked as an associate editor of the Michigan Journal of Political Science. After graduating, he accepted a job with a management-consulting firm in the Chicago area. Steve then attended Harvard for law school and, during his second and third years taught courses on legal research and writing to first year law students. Following law school, he clerked for a federal judge in San Francisco for one year. He now works for a law firm, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, which has one of the top media practices in the nation. The firm litigates and advises clients on reporter's privileges, reporter's access, defamation, the right of privacy, copyrights, trademarks and an assortment of other issues related to the First Amendment. Steve has joined AAJA to gain a better understanding of journalists' perspectives, as, for example, issues related to ethical standards of journalism are intimately related to legal standards. |
