Community tips: Interacting with the News Media Part of AAJA's mission is to promote community access to news organizations and encourage accurate news coverage of Asian Americans and others. Getting into the newspaper or onto radio or television isn't easy. News outlets can receive hundreds of thousands of pitches every day, across the wires, over the phone, via fax and e-mail, through the regular mail, even from people who walk in our doors.
