    • May 10: LGBT Asian/Pacific Islanders annual Pride & Heritage celebration.
    • May 17: 3rd National Asian Heritage Festival-Fiesta Asia
    • May 28: D.C. Mayor Fenty's Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs holds event to celebrate Asia Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
    • June 7: AAJA-NABJ-NAHJ-NAJA roundtable at Holocaust Museum.

    JOBS, FELLOWSHIPS AVAILABLE

    The American Association of Sunday and Feature Editors is accepting applications for its 2008 diversity fellowships. Deadline to apply is June 20. The Online NewsHour with Jim Lehrer is looking for an interactives producer. Change.org is launching a social action blog network this summer and is currently hiring a team of blogger/editors.

    Founded in 1981, AAJA is a non-profit professional and educational organization with more than 2,000 members today. AAJA encourages Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) to enter the ranks of journalism, works for fair and accurate coverage of AAPIs, and promotes increasing the number of AAPI journalists and news managers in the industry.
