![]() Follow aajadc on Twitter See AAJA-D.C. on Facebook Join the chapter's electronic mailing list POWER OF ONE PHONE BANK VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT CONVENTION Now that convention duties and preparations are in full swing, AAJA is looking for volunteers to sign up to work a shift for the Power of One phone bank we have set up at the convention. We will be calling lapsed members and members who couldn't make it to the convention to A) encourage participation and let members know we're thinking of them; B) encourage lapsed members to rejoin and current members to renew; and C) ask for their support of AAJA programs through the Power of One campaign. Here's the incentive for the D.C. chapter. Members who secure donations (not pledges) will get to have 25 percent of those donations go toward their chapters, plus if they get a new member (or lapsed member) to join, the chapter will get its dues share. Here are the shifts: Thursday & Friday
Please let Sherri Ly (dcsherri@gmail.com) know if you can do a shift, and she will notify AAJA's National office and then provide you with further details. Volunteers are asked to donate their time and cell phones for this endeavor. This is a great way to meet Advisory Board members' Power of One total, as well as reach out to network with AAJA members.
